Here is another example of what makes our hobby so much fun.  Features on this 40 acre property include cliffs, a large creek, significant paved road frontage, seclusion,  the Daniel Boone National Forest as your neighbor, and one of the most fantastic waterfalls we have seen.   The most unique feature is that the road that runs along the property is an old railroad bed.  When the railway was built, it could not go around sharp bends.  Sometimes, the railroad would have to cut through rock to create the railway.  The highlight of this property is that you enter it through a rock arch created when the railway first went through.   This feature is known locally as Wrigley Arch.  A Google photo search will result in many pictures of this iconic arch.

Another feature is that a large creek runs through this property before entering the Daniel Boone National Forest.  Downstream, this creek is a significant tributary to Cave Run Lake.  For James's bachelor party we camped on the property and kayaked through the arch and to the Paragon boat ramp on Cave Run Lake.

Our favorite feature, however, is the series of caverns that wind up to the top of the waterfalls.

Available for $109,000.  Update: SOLD.

Here are some of the cliff walls that border the property. There is a large level area to the right of this point that overlooks the large creek and would be an ideal location for a cabin.

I took this photo as it was getting dark and it is not my best but it is of the biggest of the waterfalls on the property.

The picture to the left is of the upper part of the water falls.  The picture above is of a recent trip to the property with the next generation.  In the past, we have found the trek to the waterfall somewhat difficult for the little guys but this time we found a new route.  Through the boulders and rockhouses along the cliff, we found a cavern-like passage that allowed us to get to the falls much easier.  Ray thought it reminded him of Goonies.  Our kids don't remember Goonies, but they were squealing with excitement as each small opening led to a new section of the cavern.  This day ranked up there with any we have spent in Kentucky.  The cavern was too dark for pictures with my cheap camera on this trip but there are some pictures below on a subsequent trip.

The picture below left is a typical woods picture.  The picture directly below is a picture of a ledge that "is not as dangerous as it looks, Mom".
